Csc - Cosecant Calculator

Online calculator for calculating the cosecant of an angle

The calculator on this page calculates the cosecant for real numbers. Trigonometric functions for complex numbers can be found in the complex numbers section.

Enter the angle whose cosecant should be calculated and click on the Calculate button. The unit of measurement can be switched between degrees and radians.

Description

In a right triangle, the cosecant is the ratio of the hypotenuse to the opposite side and thus the reciprocal of the sine function:

csc formula

csc formula

The cosecant function (Csc) calculates the cosecant of an angle, which is given as a real number.

Input

The angle is given in degrees (> -180° ... < 180°) or radians (> -π ... < π) and not equal to zero. The unit of measurement used is set using the Degrees or Radians menu

Result

If the value 0 is entered as an argument, the result is infinity (1 / 0).
