Quick start Guide

Autofocus "AF"

Autofocus is on by default. That means the focus is set back to the input line after each click on a button. On your laptop or desktop you can comfortably jump back and forth between input from the keyboard and buttons.

This can be annoying on mobile devices with a touchscreen, because after each click on a button the keyboard is 'extended'. Therefore, the autofocus can be switched off with the 'AF' button at the top.

"CE"

Deletes the input line.

"AC"

Clears all, the display and memory.

"Panels"

The panels of the function buttons can be folded in and out to shorten the function bar on small displays.

Calculator functions

When making an entry, the point must always be used as the decimal point. The comma is reserved as a separator between parameters of functions.

Variables are defined by an assignment: x=12.
The defined variables are displayed in the top window. The windows for results and variables can be changed in size.

Valid operators are +, -, *, / and ^ for exponents, e.g.: 4^2. The characters × and ÷ for multiplication and division are also accepted.

The radio buttons DEG and RAD determine whether the values for angle functions are entered in degrees or radians.
