Formula for calculating an arc of a circle

An arc is part of the outline of a circle. It is determined by two straight lines starting from the center point that intersect the circular line at a certain angle α.

Since a circle has a circumference of 360 degrees, the arc length l can be calculated using the following formula:

\(\displaystyle l=\frac{2 · r · π · α}{360}\)       \(\displaystyle α=\frac{360 · l}{2 · r · π }\)
